hello all,
i filmmaker working on project has on 500 hours of footage , 10-20 different video formats inside premiere pro. have been editing full res online footage throughout editing process without many issues. since use fcpx ad work thought updating premiere , using create proxy feature me speed process until realized same workflow without feature , former works better.
the proxies not want attach because premiere tags "_proxy," on end of every clip. premiere doesn't search designated proxy folder , on top of that, don't attach automatically stated. yes, checked metadata.
i trying hit major deadline many people use program , appreciate clarity on since wasted lot of time making proxies.
p.s. when attempted attach proxy media media in designated proxy folder, manually had find first clip because premiere wouldn't search folder(probably because of "_proxy" tagged on end of each clip). once manually attached first clip locate media dialogue came , attached original media instead of proxy. extremely frustrating.
notes**
to work on project today, stopped proxies in media encoder , quit. media encoder save left off maybe affects problem in way horrible filmmakers dealing lots of footage. of course, clips referring today clips proxies have been made for. created own ingest preset in media encoder.
yours truly,
taylor
the way prpro 10.3 ingest/proxy workflow works bit different older patterns, , i'm wondering if perhaps didn't have enough info on starting have work properly. if use 'ingest/create proxies' (however it's worded) option, prpro creates smaller files use in work within prpro, such clicking icon on program monitor, can go forth & between working proxies or full media within prpro.
is not working you?
neil
