Create an image insert button in a pdf form that clears once the user hits a submit form or reset form button?

i updating company form created in livecycle designer, user has left company, had attach image button.  company purchased acrobat pro dc me, thinking able update form, not able edited , re-created form in pro dc.

 

i can have user insert pdf image using javascript

 

event.target.buttonimporticon();

 

however not being javascript familiar, , still learning acrobat, far can in previous forums before lost.

 

the javascript works fine image, doesn't clear once reset form or submit form buttons used.

 

can please give me simple , clear instructions on how this?

 

p.s.  adobe website not mention not being able edit livecycle designer forms in other versions of acrobat, frustrated.  therefore please make replies newby friendly.

you can't clear directly. can kind of hack, copy icon of button has no icon applied it.

so create image button (it can hidden), set have icon, don't select one.

when want reset other button can use code:

 

this.getfield("image1").buttonseticon(this.getfield("emptyimage").buttongeticon());
