Handling missing XML when importing with InDesign

hi guys,

i'm new indesign , i'm not sure if capable of doing hoping can point me in right direction here.

i'm generating xml php import indesign template through jsx script file. i'd know if there way me handle missing xml tags if xml tag missing in xml file when imported tag/placeholder in template disappear , text below slide there no obvious gap missing xml should be? example...

indesign template/tags layout looks below...

address_1

address_2

address_3

postcode

two different xml files below

xml file number 1

<address_1>big house</address_1>

<address_2>big hill</address_2>

<address_3>big county</address_3>

<postcode>sy108la</postcode>

xml file number 2

<address_1>small house</address_1>

<address_2>small hill</address_2>

<postcode>sy108la</postcode>

xml file 1 looks fine. xml file number 2 has 3rd part of address missing i'd not have blank space once imported template.

any ideas how this?

thanks! :-)

i'm not sure if you. have option “delete elements, frames, , content not macht imported xml” in xml import options.

best regards

haeme
