Flash Player, Apache, and AMS 5

we're using windows server 2008 r2 enterprise , our security team has instructed must update flash , apache on adobe media server 5 professional take care of security vulnerabilities.  i'm wondering 2 things:

first, necessary have flash installed?  don't kind of live encoding/broadcasts.  vod. if necessary, newest version of flash can update if we're using win server 2008?

second, we're running apache 2.4.10 now.  updating apache newest version (2.4.23) break in ams 5?

having latest version of flash player helps..i guess fp @ version 23.0.0.173 of now.

as apache..ams uses own apache version 2.4.10 , 64 bit...user expected have 1 apache running on machine , in case of ams should version of apache built ams...although theory have have more 1 apache running on same machine., not practice. far apache comes ams concerned, there couple of adobe modules compiled apache and  in theory apache version dependent. recommend people use apache version ships ams i.e version 2.4.10...also note 1 of security components of apache openssl(come play if use enable mod_ssl in apache configs). adobe makes sure our latest drop/dot release of ams  on 1 latest versions of openssl. if security vulnerability regard openssl..rest assured have fixed on form of latest version of openssl available inside aapche. if vulnerability if within apache code, have weigh considerations yourself.
