Brush tool-new to Lightroom

yes, i'm 1 of annoying newbies. i'm trying lighten eyes. use brush tool. see in red it's want on iris. when try make adjustments excludes brushed part , rest of photo. has easy fix i'm missing. settings change? much! 

your explanation "does rest of photo.." indicate may not using brush tool. suggest may have radial filter tool active.

the brush tool toggled on/off keyboard 'k' key.

the "red" see overlay indicator can turned off 'o' key (or changed in colour 'shift+o' )

 

if want use radial filter 'circle' on eyes [shift+m] , need invert radial filter tick in 'invert mask" box (or press quote key [ ' ]. filter applied within circle.

Why is os_ViewContainer running?

when open illustrator (cc) opens window os_viewcontainer cannot view or close. shows in taskbar second window illustrator when mousing on ai icon. have tried select no luck. have tried clear using red x, no luck. close when close illustrator. wondering why there , if should concerned. oh, running windows 10. hi ccsachs,   as per query when launch illustrator opens " os_viewcontainer "   i request please share screenshots along below-mentioned details:   exact version of illustrator  graphic card using , when updated last time how performs in safe mode? Animate - problem with duplicating scripts after loop
