Selecting a Small Section of Audio

greetings:

 

i novice audition user.     trying select small pieces of audio (i.e.   6 10 seconds @ time) want delete or silence.  dragging time selection tool not precise purposes.  there better way more precise?  

 

also, once narrow time frame identified, how "select" purposes of applying deletion or silence?

this work flow:

  • zoom in on part of audio file (marked red rectangle in screenshot dragging end marker
  • click on place want start selection (playhead move there), shift-click on end of 6-10secs
  • use right-click menu cut, or insert silence or other action.

Why is os_ViewContainer running?

when open illustrator (cc) opens window os_viewcontainer cannot view or close. shows in taskbar second window illustrator when mousing on ai icon. have tried select no luck. have tried clear using red x, no luck. close when close illustrator. wondering why there , if should concerned. oh, running windows 10. hi ccsachs,   as per query when launch illustrator opens " os_viewcontainer "   i request please share screenshots along below-mentioned details:   exact version of illustrator  graphic card using , when updated last time how performs in safe mode? Animate - problem with duplicating scripts after loop
