Source Monitor Starting Time Not Zero

hi guys,

i haven't used premiere pro in while , i'm bit of newbie.

i've imported whole bunch of clips, mov , mp4. whenever open mov file in source monitor window, starting time random (like 11 hours). putting short documentary friend , wants me trim clips based on time, isn't ideal cannot go specific time code. i've tried dragging clip @ time no luck.

the thing can think of clips shot in sequence (or something) , result reading metadata incorrectly. shot blackmagic camera.

is pr bug or have way project set up? i'm @ loss.

any advice?

hi cogito,

whenever open mov file in source monitor window, starting time random (like 11 hours).

is not original timecode camera shot these clips? it's not case tc starts @ zero. camera operator can change start time, example.

i putting short documentary friend , wants me trim clips based on time, isn't ideal cannot go specific time code.

perhaps tc wasn't logged same way on set or bitc copy "friend" making his/her notes doesn't reflect actual tc. tod or simple clip duration. possibility has gone amiss before hit premiere pro.

i don't think so. believe has more happened before footage ingested.

i don't think either, check see if feet + frames has been enabled instead of tc. that's thing can think of presently.

regards,
kevin
