Using tons of resources

my system consists of following:

hp pavilion hpe h8-1080t

12g ram

amd radeon 7750hd 2g video card

i7 6 core 3.2g

c:= samsung 512g ssd

e:= 1.5tb hdd

windows 10 pro, updates.

600w ps

 

i've noticed while using select , mask, photoshop tends use   lot of resources. photo 10.5mb , after doing select , masked closed file , looked @ task manager. me seems bit outrageous. ideas. no plugins, straight photoshop.

Animate - problem with duplicating scripts after loop

Illustrator CS6 Ocurrío un error E/S en el archivo.

este error me me sale cada ves que guardo un archivo que ya estado trabajando varias veces, sale cuando ya esta finalizando el proceso de guardar, ya probe cambiar nombre del archivo, ubicación de guardado, convertí curvas las fuentes y sigue saliendo el mismo error, no se que mas hacer, si alguien le ha sucedido y sabe como solucionarlo por favor ayuda. versión exacta (acerca de illustrator) de illustrator? versión sistema operativo?   guardas en el disco duro principal del ordenador o en otro disco, memoria pendrive,...? ese disco que clase de disco, modelo, antiguedad, espacio libre,...?
