Help with subtracting a shape

hello:

 

i use pc, run windows 10 , using cc 6

 

i able create sort of wave , subtract shape circle.

 

thus far have drawn straight line pen tool , gone effect , created sine-like wave using zig zag effect

 

but, know, since path still straight line , reasons have yet learn , therefore don't understand ... not work out me.

 

i have tried drawing want pen tool cannot same smooth curves effects tool provides.

 

does have ideas me?

 

of course, keep searching , learning via manual.

 

thanks in advance , lmk if need provide example of trying accomplish.

after applying effect need object > expand appearance in order able use pathfinder functions.

 

you might need close path.

 

please show something. nobody likes digging in dark.

Animate - problem with duplicating scripts after loop

Illustrator CS6 Ocurrío un error E/S en el archivo.

este error me me sale cada ves que guardo un archivo que ya estado trabajando varias veces, sale cuando ya esta finalizando el proceso de guardar, ya probe cambiar nombre del archivo, ubicación de guardado, convertí curvas las fuentes y sigue saliendo el mismo error, no se que mas hacer, si alguien le ha sucedido y sabe como solucionarlo por favor ayuda. versión exacta (acerca de illustrator) de illustrator? versión sistema operativo?   guardas en el disco duro principal del ordenador o en otro disco, memoria pendrive,...? ese disco que clase de disco, modelo, antiguedad, espacio libre,...?
