Scaled fonts from Indesign to PDF result in print bug

hi everyone,

 

just encountered strange bug pdf files made.

 

i created file in indesign type scaled horizontally (sometimes less 100%, more). these indesign files exported pdf using preset "high quality print".

printing these pdf files mac our canon c5255i (with ps driver) works fine, when collegues print same file using acrobat reader on windows scaled fonts (that is: non 100% horizontally scaled fonts) replaced black bars.

 

when put fonts @ 100% horizontal scale, export new pdf works fine.

 

i've been using same indesign file time now, never had issues.

starting week noticed strange bug in pdf files. acrobat reader on windows still same since before - upgrade latest available version of adobe cc.

 

anyone else having same issue ? related latest cc update maybe ?

got same problem here @ company. , it's terrible since have huge amount of product leaflets use similar design , therefore got horizontally scaled fonts.

 

i hope solve soon, because demand of printing stuff half company driving people macs crazy here.

 

just found workaround:

right click pdf file > open with... > microsoft edge > print

 

didn't work chrome, haven't tested firefox.

 

it isn't best workflow it's better black bars.

Why is os_ViewContainer running?

when open illustrator (cc) opens window os_viewcontainer cannot view or close. shows in taskbar second window illustrator when mousing on ai icon. have tried select no luck. have tried clear using red x, no luck. close when close illustrator. wondering why there , if should concerned. oh, running windows 10. hi ccsachs,   as per query when launch illustrator opens " os_viewcontainer "   i request please share screenshots along below-mentioned details:   exact version of illustrator  graphic card using , when updated last time how performs in safe mode? Animate - problem with duplicating scripts after loop
