Content Shifting Off of Page When Changing the Margins to Two Columns

i new indesign, , having hard time finding right solution problem.

 

i have created document in indesign cc2015, , decided change margins include 2 columns. upon doing so, content of page has shifted off of page. on left facing pages, content shifts left, , on right facing pages, content shifts right.

 

this work in progress document (400+ pages already), export , send out file every week or so. have manually moved objects onto pages, takes lot of work. when add new page document, shifts content on again.

 

why happen? there way keep content shifting off of page?

 

is there way "auto-fit" content 2 columns have created in margins , columns option out recreating whole document? have seen how align object margins, content includes both text , objects.

 

i have heard of layout adjustment , liquid layout, not grasp these mean , how use them, as, how apply them document or if these solution problem.

 

any appreciated. step step process best me follow. 

it's difficult answer without seeing screen shot here's think happening. when change margins, page margins change text frame contains text remains same size. i'm guessing if resize frame, you'll in business. if setup document using primary text frame feature, you'd able modify page margins, adjust text frame on master page contain 2 columns , of pages follow suit. hope helps.

Why is os_ViewContainer running?

when open illustrator (cc) opens window os_viewcontainer cannot view or close. shows in taskbar second window illustrator when mousing on ai icon. have tried select no luck. have tried clear using red x, no luck. close when close illustrator. wondering why there , if should concerned. oh, running windows 10. hi ccsachs,   as per query when launch illustrator opens " os_viewcontainer "   i request please share screenshots along below-mentioned details:   exact version of illustrator  graphic card using , when updated last time how performs in safe mode? Animate - problem with duplicating scripts after loop
