Cutting text from image using Pathfinder tool

hi all,

i trying cut out text image in illustrator. using version cs6 on dell xps 12.

 

i have combed internet instructions , have tried all, when follow same steps in illustrator not desired outcome. have created outlines text, made sure image , text on same layer, grouped (and ungrouped) , tried every option in pathfinder no avail. have done before image reason can't work time.

 

i tried making image clipping mask "shape" instead of "image," did nothing either.

 

if has tips, appreciate have spent hours trying figure out!

pathfinder not work path , image.

instead, place text above image (it can live text), select both.

you can use make mask button in transparency pallet cut text out of image.

Animate - problem with duplicating scripts after loop

Illustrator CS6 Ocurrío un error E/S en el archivo.

este error me me sale cada ves que guardo un archivo que ya estado trabajando varias veces, sale cuando ya esta finalizando el proceso de guardar, ya probe cambiar nombre del archivo, ubicación de guardado, convertí curvas las fuentes y sigue saliendo el mismo error, no se que mas hacer, si alguien le ha sucedido y sabe como solucionarlo por favor ayuda. versión exacta (acerca de illustrator) de illustrator? versión sistema operativo?   guardas en el disco duro principal del ordenador o en otro disco, memoria pendrive,...? ese disco que clase de disco, modelo, antiguedad, espacio libre,...?
