Where Can I Find A Good Tutorial About Selecting Fonts and Typography In General?

i have, on occasion, run folks fonts "inappropriate" uses , somebody's use of typography "wrong" - offer advice.

 

i admit seeing when reading comments on commercial website templates, , not in respect own work, makes me wonder talking about!  go looks , readable  (i.e. - no fancy script fonts lots of ornamental bits headlines , logos) things seem fine me these criticisms.

 

i'd love find tutorial explaining characteristics in font intended use, , meant "bad typography" in layout.

 

if you've read of previous posts, know i'd prefer free tutorial, open commercial 1 if in depth , comprehensive.

 

ironically, had hard time finding in searches.  advice appreciated.

very large, subjective topic... there particular area of design seeking info? direct discussion right forum lounge isn't answering questions though understand why posted here. topic can cover miles of info , directions change design fads (not best choice of words) determine , bad. if can pick area best describes headed search @ least start in direction.

Why is os_ViewContainer running?

when open illustrator (cc) opens window os_viewcontainer cannot view or close. shows in taskbar second window illustrator when mousing on ai icon. have tried select no luck. have tried clear using red x, no luck. close when close illustrator. wondering why there , if should concerned. oh, running windows 10. hi ccsachs,   as per query when launch illustrator opens " os_viewcontainer "   i request please share screenshots along below-mentioned details:   exact version of illustrator  graphic card using , when updated last time how performs in safe mode? Animate - problem with duplicating scripts after loop
