Deleting corrupt version of Lr 6 and reloading a new copy

i purchased lightroom 6 on-line in may 2015 update lightroom 5
for had purchased disk.  on 27th july downloaded thought
an update think complete program. since message “the
lightroom catalog cannot opened because application has
open”. program file indicates creation of file 2nd may 2015 ,
then modified 27 july 2016. forum suggestion delete ircat.lock on
the last backup. worked short while no longer works.

 

i fell have few ideas resolve problem:-

 

1 delete lightroom 6 , reload using same “key” given
when purchased it. hope pick-up last catalog back-up ,
carry on left off.

 

2. delete lightroom 6 , use disk re-load lightroom 5. if
did accept catalogs produced lightroom 6?

 

3  abandon lightroom , move photoshop elements 13,
have, use prefer lightroom of work.

go menu edit> catalog settings , click on 'show.' close lr , delete .lock file(s).

Why is os_ViewContainer running?

when open illustrator (cc) opens window os_viewcontainer cannot view or close. shows in taskbar second window illustrator when mousing on ai icon. have tried select no luck. have tried clear using red x, no luck. close when close illustrator. wondering why there , if should concerned. oh, running windows 10. hi ccsachs,   as per query when launch illustrator opens " os_viewcontainer "   i request please share screenshots along below-mentioned details:   exact version of illustrator  graphic card using , when updated last time how performs in safe mode? Animate - problem with duplicating scripts after loop
