Read Aloud function stopped working


two days ago windows 10 installed updates , restarted. once done went use read aloud function. read aloud activated fine when tried read there no sound. tried read aloud document know has read before , got message saying ids_wrong_document_err . while trying find solution computer performed update let restart again. once update , restart complete tried read aloud again. time didn't error message still no sound in. checked acrobat reader settings , computers settings nothing worked. tried calling microsoft support, thinking problem due windows 10 update, answer got them was adobe reader program issue , contact adobe. legally blind , desperately need study..

is else having same problem?

does have ideas on how fix it?

you might try disabling protected mode.

launch adobe reader, click on edit menu , click preferences, under preferences, select security (enhanced), uncheck box next enable protected mode @ startup , click ok, close adobe reader , launch again, , check if hear sound.

 

could please let me know if able hear sounds other applications windows media player?
