Export/OCR from an Always Partially Upside-Down Scan

i running adobe acrobat pro xi on windows 8.1 pc.

i have pdf scan of original number of columns, header centered across each pair.

except adjacent columns upside-down respect each other (content different in adjacent columns). intentional in source.

so scan looks this:

------          ------

▲ ▼         ▲ ▼

i want text this. if i, say, export word first , third columns come through ok, ocr fails badly on second , fourth columns. if think arrangement of icons above ... scan partially upside down.

obviously, not have problem if source had been arranged way:

------          ------

▲ ▲          ▲ ▲

fwiw: have reasonably human readable, rotated each page 180 degrees when doing scanning. have duplicate of above in form:

------          ------

▼ ▲          ▼ ▲

thus normal human can read columns 1 , 3 page 1, columns 1 , 3 page 2 ... , whole thing.

suggestions anyone?

is there reason , down?

first off, i'd scan page(s) @ tif images

then i'd open scanned documents in photoshop, marquee text facing wrong direction, command-v bring selected region new layer, command-t transform , rotate item. click ok , when done, re-save. sure flatten document prior save (and/or save copy of original in case there issue have go , deal with).

now can drag new image onto acrobat icon , converted pdf (and if have auto ocr set, you're done otherwise you'll need ocr process.

let me know if works you. (and i'm assuming have photoshop, sorry if not. if not, not know other options may have.
