I lost a bunch of fonts when I switched computers - any easy way to get them back?
this sort of complicated, i'll best can.
exactly 10 days ago, purchased new laptop computer, acer aspire. replaced seven-year-old dell inspiron. after series of file transfers, have indesign files available hard drive of acer.
so opened 1 of indesign files, personal project resembles souvenir program fictitious family in north carolina have issued "reunion." create both editorial elements , "advertisements," used dozens of fonts able access dell. these included fonts endings "bt" , "btn."
however - , horror - when opened file on acer, "bt" , "btn" fonts, 4 others, missing! typekit able find other 4 fonts , transfer them new acer version, "bt" , "btn" fonts missing, , dialog box asks me have them switched single default font every time open file.
i have isolated part of problem fact every computer has different fonts installed in internal operating systems. again, don't remember if dell installed "bt" , "btn" fonts can no longer access on acer. remember them being introduced in other way. of them adobe programs installed; others may have come program called greeting card factory installed on dell. (i try out possibility now, unfortunately didn't keep cd got purchase!)
i realize can go third-party websites install missing fonts. 20 fonts in total listed in missing fonts dialog box, take me forever - , maybe lot of money - of them 1 @ time. there website or program can allow me download @ least of them @ 1 time?
also, if else has used gcf , can remember fonts uses, appreciate information.
thank , have nice day.
have trided indesign file>package dell, move packaging folder acer?
