Can't open acsm books downloaded from library

titles appear download correctly can't opened.  non-protected documents such getting started guide open fine.

have tried both 4.5.1.139278 , 3.0.1.91394, no avail.  i've tried resetting adobe id password.

 

redownloading dragging onto app used give "internal error", gives "error check activation" on 3.0, 4.5.1 hangs after "fulfilling..." dialog "downloading content..." bar completes.

 

after restarting app, books show up, , show licensed , viewable on device, copying , printing not allowed.  opening book hangs adobe digital editions 4.5.1

 

(note before evening's adobe outage.)

 

any thoughts?

windows:

 

    close applications.

    choose start > run.

    in open text box, type regedit , press enter. registry editor opens.

    in left pane of registry editor, locate following registry key: hkey_current_user\software\adobe\adept

    select adept key.

    choose file > export.

    in export registry file dialog box, select selected branch under export range. enter name , location backup registry key, , click save.

    right-click adept key , choose delete.

    in confirm key delete dialog, click ok.

    close registry editor.

    open adobe digital editions , reauthorize.

 

macintosh:

 

    quit adobe digital editions.

    navigate /users//library/application support/adobe/digital editions , drag activation.dat file trash.

    open adobe digital editions , reauthorize.

Why is os_ViewContainer running?

when open illustrator (cc) opens window os_viewcontainer cannot view or close. shows in taskbar second window illustrator when mousing on ai icon. have tried select no luck. have tried clear using red x, no luck. close when close illustrator. wondering why there , if should concerned. oh, running windows 10. hi ccsachs,   as per query when launch illustrator opens " os_viewcontainer "   i request please share screenshots along below-mentioned details:   exact version of illustrator  graphic card using , when updated last time how performs in safe mode? Animate - problem with duplicating scripts after loop
