Lr 6.7 crash during modest sized import

hi - made several upgrades setup , having issues import.   lightroom works fine view , develop photos, crashes mid-way during imports. leaves bunch of temporary folders, photos don't import. can help?

 

late 2009 27" imac

lightroom 4.x (since 2012)

~500 gb library of ~50,000 photos/videos

 

attempt import 694 files including photos, png, , video iphone #1.

 

list of upgrades

july '16, added 2x 2gb crucial brand ram empty slots (resulting in 8gb total) : import works.

july '16, moved library internal hdd wd mybook 4tb 7200rpm external hdd conneted via usb 2.0 : import works.

august '16, upgraded 1tb internal ssd : import works.

22 sep '16, upgraded osx elcapitan ossierra 10.12 : did not import before next change, not sure if import worked.

24 sep '16, moved library wd mybook 4tb sony 1tb 5400rpm external hdd connected via firewire 800 : import fails.

29 sep '16, upgraded lr 4.x lr 6.0 (lightroom updated catalog too) : import fails.

30 sep '16, upgraded lr 6.0 lr 6.7 : import fails

 

troubleshooting tests in current state

import different smart phone, iphone #2, including 164 png, photo, video files : fails

import using different lighting cable connect iphone #1 : fails.

import internal ssd : fails

disconeect external drives, import internal ssd : import fails

import wd mybook 4tb 7200rpm external hdd connected via usb 2.0 : fails

deleted preferences file : import fails.

import single photo iphone #1 internal ssd (no external drives) : import works

import single photo from iphone #2 to internal ssd (no external drives) : import works

import single photo from iphone #1 wd mybook external (sony not connected) : import works

import single photo iphone #1 sony external (wd mybook remains connected) : import works

import 460 photo/png/video iphone #1 sony external (wd mybook remains connected) : import fails

*** apparently photos got imported, because new photo count has gone down ***

import 324 photo/png/video iphone #1 wd mybook (sony connected) : import fails

import 324 photo/png/video iphone #1 internal ssd (wd mybook , sony connected) : import fails

 

it seems lr fails when import quantity gets large. should next?

could please try copying images hard drive desktop & try importing them lightroom while external drives unplugged?

Animate - problem with duplicating scripts after loop

Illustrator CS6 Ocurrío un error E/S en el archivo.

este error me me sale cada ves que guardo un archivo que ya estado trabajando varias veces, sale cuando ya esta finalizando el proceso de guardar, ya probe cambiar nombre del archivo, ubicación de guardado, convertí curvas las fuentes y sigue saliendo el mismo error, no se que mas hacer, si alguien le ha sucedido y sabe como solucionarlo por favor ayuda. versión exacta (acerca de illustrator) de illustrator? versión sistema operativo?   guardas en el disco duro principal del ordenador o en otro disco, memoria pendrive,...? ese disco que clase de disco, modelo, antiguedad, espacio libre,...?
