Direct Selection tool auto selecting??

i'm using direct selection tool @ high magnification, cutting out dine edges. these studio shots of objects, shot on white backgrounds , sometime distinction between object , background can hard judge. i'm therefore happy take time, magnify right in there , pick pixel pixel. problem direct selection tool appears have feather edge (like hardness slider on clone stamp). it's guessing pixels choose outside selection circle (which i'm adjusting in size appropriate). why trying content aware , pick pixels me? want literally pic pixels i'm clicking within tool, or maybe slight falloff it's deviating selection based on thinks want.

 

wrong tool or wrong setup?

you far better off using pen selection tool that. give better selection/path , when convert path selection asked if want feathering , how much. making selections @ pixel level hardly ever gives result selection complicated, besides tedious do.

Why is os_ViewContainer running?

when open illustrator (cc) opens window os_viewcontainer cannot view or close. shows in taskbar second window illustrator when mousing on ai icon. have tried select no luck. have tried clear using red x, no luck. close when close illustrator. wondering why there , if should concerned. oh, running windows 10. hi ccsachs,   as per query when launch illustrator opens " os_viewcontainer "   i request please share screenshots along below-mentioned details:   exact version of illustrator  graphic card using , when updated last time how performs in safe mode? Animate - problem with duplicating scripts after loop
