Help. What's the best drive set up

hi, i've been searching days understand drive suitable each task.

i own imac 2011 12gb ram , 500gb (7200 rpm) hard drive , 2 external hard drives. 1 of them hdd 1tb usb3 interface imac doesn't support usb3 has speed of usb2. other 1 hdd 500gb firewire interface.

 

i want color correct short film, footage apple prores hq data rate around 320 mb/s , total size 45 gb. found using aja datacalc application. system slow job i'm trying figure out way make happen.

from found on internet, ssd drive make difference. don't know if it'd better buy external ssd thunderbolt interface or add internally ssd keeping original hard drive of imac.

 

but important of all, don't know how use these drives. , mean basic level.

should example:

-add internal ssd , use boot drive, it'll run programs guess

-use internal hdd keeping media , project files

-use external hdd firewire cache

-and external hdd usb2 exports

 

???

 

also, minimum size ssd in case? guess it's 256gb maybe needs more space, dont know.

 

anyone?

since have usb2 , thunderbolt 1 doubt find unit can support data rate.  a pc person.

Why is os_ViewContainer running?

when open illustrator (cc) opens window os_viewcontainer cannot view or close. shows in taskbar second window illustrator when mousing on ai icon. have tried select no luck. have tried clear using red x, no luck. close when close illustrator. wondering why there , if should concerned. oh, running windows 10. hi ccsachs,   as per query when launch illustrator opens " os_viewcontainer "   i request please share screenshots along below-mentioned details:   exact version of illustrator  graphic card using , when updated last time how performs in safe mode? Animate - problem with duplicating scripts after loop
