Changing multiple radio buttons to a different group

i have large print-based form need turn online form. have pdf of document , want add radio buttons on top of existing tick boxes. each question has 3 possible answers (yes, no, n/a) , need put each group of 3 checkboxes same group make sure behave expected , allow 1 choice per question.

for speed, drew out 3 checkboxes, gave them correct responses , same group name, duplicated them across form alt-dragging them.

i need go through form , change group names grouped question, rather being part of same group.

i.e.

the first group p2_q1. want select next group of 3 radio buttons and in 1 operation change group to, say, p2_q2. change next group of 3 p2_q3, p2_q4 , on…

i don't want have change group name of each , every radio button, partly because have lot of questions, partly because being forced suggest acrobat violates every tenet of sane software design and, well, acrobat makes head hurt is.

can help? in advance.

better start renaming, there's no way around it.

i use radio buttons, when have large number of groups (usually groups of check boxes) use custom tool built allows me create fields quickly. while there's not built-in solution, it's possible build one.
