Lightroom CC 2015.7 slower than death >:(

for love of god please me.

i've been using lightroom since before cc days , have been happy program until recently. while understand program progressing quite , potentially render computers obsolete newer versions of program, don't believe or should case why lr running poorly. following previous update encountering intermittent moments of extreme bog down in program hoping fixed recent update, have far encountered further lack of usability. lr struggling import batches of photos, giving me spinning ball of death when try access menus, taking no less 4-5 seconds switch between photos, , same time on again respond of editing sliders, presets, etc., giving me spinning ball of death or crashing times when try enter develop module, god forbid i'd want luxury of switching between photos within develop module instead of library!

in short, lr downright not useable.

i'm no computer genius, these things i've done of now:

- have turned off graphics processor

- dropped jpeg preview sizes in general

- in catalog settings have lowered both preview size , quality minimum

- have increased camera raw cache settings 70gb (which seems ridiculous)

- have optimized catalogs

things have not done:

- turned off sharpen, lens correction, noise reduction every photo (because think absolutely ridiculous)

- consolidated of catalogs

- shrunk folder sizes

while i've heard these last items can help, refuse pay monthly program going subject me rage of such tedium, , refuse believe adobe irresponsible make program power hungry , memory intensive hip 1 year old computer.

to either adobe or interweb white knight, please me make photos sparkly , pretty before set computer on fire , throw adult temper tantrum. i'd eternally grateful help.

i'm working on mid 2015 15inch macbook pro retina of system specs listed down below.

renderer: amd radeon r9 m370x opengl engine

languageversion: 4.10

- have turned off graphics processor

shouldn't necessary machine. have similar older machine , is  faster gpu enabled without in last few major lightroom versions.

- dropped jpeg preview sizes in general

- in catalog settings have lowered both preview size , quality minimum

this have no real impact on performance. best choice here auto. otherwise start redoing preview every time go new image. having smaller previews slow down in case.

- have increased camera raw cache settings 70gb (which seems ridiculous)

also has limited impact in experience. there limited benefit of going beyond 10gb or if images on fast disk. can purge cache once in while.

- have optimized catalogs

that can have impact.

make sure not doing face detection in background. slow machine crawl. also check if os not doing reindexing in background (check activity monitor in processes mode see if process taking lot of cpu.

have tried resetting preferences? see here: how reset lightroom's preferences? - lightroom queen can in cases when there corruption in can happen if have had many major lr versions on machine.
