question on using track motion

so after ive tracked motion of face, how determine or change object located when apply motion

 

for instance lets ive tracked person's nose.....how set can put hat on person's head? because when apply tracked motion whatever layer or mask or w/e have....it automatically puts object right next ive tracked.....but want put object beside or on top or below ive tracked

a common practice apply motion null parent layer null. free move layer anywhere.
