Lightroom 6 fails to start in Window 10. Please help.

i have dell xps 13 computer, window 10.  purchase lightroom 6 standalone(perpetual) in march 2016.  works fine until yesterday.  when opened, main page trees picture shows unable launch program.  small blue circle spins continuously.  right or left click on mouse activate "adobe photoshop lightroom not responding" message , shut off.  reboot computer turning off , on or restarting not fix problem.

please make sure lightroom updated recent version, 6.6.

Why is os_ViewContainer running?

when open illustrator (cc) opens window os_viewcontainer cannot view or close. shows in taskbar second window illustrator when mousing on ai icon. have tried select no luck. have tried clear using red x, no luck. close when close illustrator. wondering why there , if should concerned. oh, running windows 10. hi ccsachs,   as per query when launch illustrator opens " os_viewcontainer "   i request please share screenshots along below-mentioned details:   exact version of illustrator  graphic card using , when updated last time how performs in safe mode? Animate - problem with duplicating scripts after loop
