What tool does it mean?

hi, studying photoshop reading book "adobe photoshop cc classroom in book (2015 release)". @ end of chapter 2, encountered problem in following passage:

on red line, book says "select tool in upper left corner of adjustments panel", cannot find in upper left corner of adjustments panel. so, tool book means , it? lot.

i believe typo. in properties panel when using black , white adjustment tool. see icon in upper left hand corner. looks hand suggests sliding.

 

when choose icon, can pick area , drag left or right increase or decrease brightness of use color.

Animate - problem with duplicating scripts after loop

Illustrator CS6 Ocurrío un error E/S en el archivo.

este error me me sale cada ves que guardo un archivo que ya estado trabajando varias veces, sale cuando ya esta finalizando el proceso de guardar, ya probe cambiar nombre del archivo, ubicación de guardado, convertí curvas las fuentes y sigue saliendo el mismo error, no se que mas hacer, si alguien le ha sucedido y sabe como solucionarlo por favor ayuda. versión exacta (acerca de illustrator) de illustrator? versión sistema operativo?   guardas en el disco duro principal del ordenador o en otro disco, memoria pendrive,...? ese disco que clase de disco, modelo, antiguedad, espacio libre,...?
