PLS HELP: Hours of work on this: E_ACT_NOT_READY

it started getting error message:

error getting license. license server communication problem:

e_act_not_ready

 

so thought: maybe digital editions old. downloaded newest 4.5 digital editions. (i on mac , chrome 10.11.6.)

 

then read every forum post in here problem. literally 2 hours.

everyone says find .dat file in users/library , pull trash, and/or deauthorize account.

when go find .dat file, can't find digital editions folder, let alone .dat file. it's not there.

and when go erase authorization account, says:

 

unable erase authorization. please try after time.  (okay, vague.)

 

so try call customer service. have no phone number, chat.

when chat "rohit," tells me:

oh, i've "increased' maximum activation, have i? rohit, non-answer.

can else help? i'm trying read darn library books!

windows:

 

    close applications.

    choose start > run.

    in open text box, type regedit , press enter. registry editor opens.

    in left pane of registry editor, locate following registry key: hkey_current_user\software\adobe\adept

    select adept key.

    choose file > export.

    in export registry file dialog box, select selected branch under export range. enter name , location backup registry key, , click save.

    right-click adept key , choose delete.

    in confirm key delete dialog, click ok.

    close registry editor.

    open adobe digital editions , reauthorize.

 

macintosh:

 

    quit adobe digital editions.

    navigate /users//library/application support/adobe/digital editions , drag activation.dat file trash.

    open adobe digital editions , reauthorize.

Why is os_ViewContainer running?

when open illustrator (cc) opens window os_viewcontainer cannot view or close. shows in taskbar second window illustrator when mousing on ai icon. have tried select no luck. have tried clear using red x, no luck. close when close illustrator. wondering why there , if should concerned. oh, running windows 10. hi ccsachs,   as per query when launch illustrator opens " os_viewcontainer "   i request please share screenshots along below-mentioned details:   exact version of illustrator  graphic card using , when updated last time how performs in safe mode? Animate - problem with duplicating scripts after loop
