Creating PDF Fillable Forms - positioning the fields and changing template Word forms

hi all!

apologies in advance i'm super new software , forums etc. in meantime, can shed light on creating fillable forms in adobe acrobat dc? i'm using pc windows 7. i've gone through basic tutorials provided on adobe website helpful need more detailed guidance.

problem

i'm trying create fillable pdf form scratch means i've had create template in word doc first; convert form fillable pdf using form wizard detect data fields automatically.

i have edit each field individually cant them sit neatly in template text spaces i've created resulting in overlapping , obscuring of text when in preview mode.

i able print out completed forms , give them colleagues therefore, text needs visible. it's super fiddly going through each field (text, drop down menus etc.) squeeze them template spaces provided using 'positioning' tab in properties section.

q1.  is there way can field spaces expand information visible?

q2. is possible change template formatting whilst in form wizard?

[if not, means have scrap fillable form i'm working on, amend original word template , start on again inserting fields newly converted form, including re-positioning/formatting each field...there's got easier way????...]

also, on general note, if point me in direction of other docs/tutorials/sites etc. go more detail on how use form wizard i'd grateful?

my in advance help!

rollerchicky!!

if you're not able manually position fields want, may have snap grid feature enabled. if turn off, should able make fields size want.

if ever need make changes word doc , generate new pdf, don't have start scratch form fields. can instead replace old pages new in acrobat. when this, fields, links, bookmarks, javascript, etc. retained. how replace pages depends on version of acrobat you're using. in acrobat dc you'd select: organize pages > replace
