Creating a 'dartboard' of photos (circles, arcs...)

newbie learning basics of illustrator (and indesign).

 

i'm looking create image similar below movie poster. dartboard of sorts, thick white borders, , can fill each section different photo. i've played around multiple circles , transparency... honest- have no clue doing! there suggestions or links set me in right direction on how create such design (in semi-simple manner)?

make initial dartboard polar grid tool.  you'll have use enough radial dividers account smallest image clipping frame, , use spapebuilder or pathfinder join boxes larger ones. 

you can use envelope distort - make top object type follow shape

read on details using polar grid tool, clipping masks , envelope distort.

Why is os_ViewContainer running?

when open illustrator (cc) opens window os_viewcontainer cannot view or close. shows in taskbar second window illustrator when mousing on ai icon. have tried select no luck. have tried clear using red x, no luck. close when close illustrator. wondering why there , if should concerned. oh, running windows 10. hi ccsachs,   as per query when launch illustrator opens " os_viewcontainer "   i request please share screenshots along below-mentioned details:   exact version of illustrator  graphic card using , when updated last time how performs in safe mode? Animate - problem with duplicating scripts after loop
